North-West-East Vietnam Attractions : 8 days - 270 $
Welcome to the Northeast Vietnam Awesome Tour. On the following pages I will show you the towns and landscapes of this part of the country. Northeast Vietnam is a destination most tourists who go to Vietnam do not visit. It is a pity, because sceneries here are fabulous. In some of the places I will show you, tourism is still very scarce
To get to the Northeast you will have to book a tour. You will find some tours available in most tour agencies in Hanoi. If you come to Vietnam in the summer time (June-August), it won't be difficult for you to find a group tour.
Day 1: Hanoi - city Tour
At 9.00 AM, we start the city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. Then continue to visit the Temple of Literature well known as Vietnam’s first university and the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem with its sacred Ngoc Son Temple. Free afternoon for shopping

Day 2: Hanoi -Maichau valley (150 km)
Traveling to the province of Hoa Binh, we pass through a region of spectacular limestone mountains and tea plantations to arrive in Mai Chau. We spend the night in a village long house of the White Thai minority, experiencing their wonderful hospitality, traditional dancing and rice wine. Overnight with local family in Mai Chau on stilt-house.

Day 3 : Maichau - Cucphuong park (90 km )
Breakfast in your host's home, followed by a ride around Mai Chau’s small villages up and down hills. At around 12:00, we have lunch in one of these villages. At 1:30 pm, bus back to Muong Khen arriving at about 2:45 pm. Here we begin to ride to Cuc Phuong National Park Check-in and dinner there. After dinner we will have a small fre party on the lakeside (optional). Overnight in Cuc Phuong.

Day 4: Cucphuong - Hoalu - Tam coc
Breakfast at 8:00 am, then start our fantastic ride under the shadows of trees with visits to the ancient forests and cave of prehistoric men. At noon, we ride back to have lunch. A short break and continue our day with a visit to the Endangered Species Centre.
At 2:45 pm depart from Cuc Phuong and begin our bike trip to Ninh Binh via pineapple farms and quiet villages. Arrive in Ninh Binh in the late afternoon, check into a hotel in town. Free time at your own to walk around this peaceful town after dinner. Be sure to enjoy some of the local coffee or sugar cane juice.

Day 5: Hoalu - Halong bay
Morning depart for Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights.
Heading out of the town we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting five hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water.
The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the Junk Cruise.
Day 6: Halong bay -Hanoi - Sapa
Drive back to Ha Noi with a stopover at Dong Trieu pottery village. Free afternoon at Ha Noi for own activities with guide at disposal. Hotel: Overnight on the night train to Sapa
Day 7 : Sapa -Trekking (12 km)

Trekking to the H'mong and Red Dao villages of Ta Phin hamlet, we are introduced to a different way of life as we enjoy the genuine hospitality of these hill tribe people. A truly satisfying day filled with insight and the unspoilt beauty of nature. Overnight at hotel in Sapa
Day 8: Sapa - Hanoi
Arrive to Hanoi at 05:30. You will be tranferred to your hotel in Hanoi or continue with your trip. End of tour.
